Tap a bubble to see what it is.

Just a few of the roles on a real tech team.

What is a technology career, really?

It's a lot more than sitting alone writing code.

Every app, website, and school system you use was shaped by people with very different strengths. Some write code. Many more design, organize, explain, test, protect, and share. Here is a taste of the range.

Design

Decide how something looks, feels, and works so people actually want to use it. If you love art, this is for you.

Project management

Keep a team on track, turn big ideas into steps, and make sure things get done. Great for natural organizers.

Socials and storytelling

Explain why something matters and get people excited about it. Writers, creators, and social media natives thrive here.

Artificial intelligence

Work with the tools changing how everything gets built, from asking smart questions to testing what AI gets right and wrong.

Operations

Make the behind the scenes machinery run smoothly so a whole organization can do its best work.

Data and engineering

Dig into information, build tools, and solve problems with logic. Yes, coders belong here too.

What you'll get to do

Real work on a real project, after the school day ends.

This is not a class and there are no tests. Workplace Studio is an after-school program that meets at your school, so you can try professional technology work without leaving the building. You'll work alongside the Blueprint team on something that matters outside the classroom.

We've run this program with NYC students before. Winter cohorts start in January, and spring cohorts follow. We work with your school to set a schedule that fits, after school, at your school.

A portfolio piece

Finish with something you made that you can show to colleges, employers, and family.

A professional reference

Leave with someone in the industry who can speak to your work and your effort.

Resume-ready experience

Real, specific experience to put on a resume, a college application, or a scholarship essay.

Clarity about your path

Figure out what you enjoy and what you don't, before you spend years heading in one direction.

Want to go deeper?

Love numbers and patterns? Every team needs you.

Every team needs someone who can look at information and say, "Here is what's working, and here is what to change." You can learn to be that person. You don't need to be a math whiz. You just need to be curious.

1

Learn the basics

See how plain numbers turn into a story anyone can understand.

2

Build your own dashboard

A dashboard is a simple screen that shows the story behind the numbers. You'll make one yourself.

3

Help a team decide

See how real teams use a dashboard to make smart choices. You'll be the person who helped them see it.

meet the founder

We build technology for business, and we care how it lands for students.

I've worked in both worlds: technology and schools. I started my career in analytics and quality at a global company, and I've spent more than 10 years working inside New York City and DC Public Schools, in strategy, operations, and leadership. I have deep respect for the educators who do that work every day.

Having seen both sides, I noticed that schools are full of talented students, and many of them have never seen what a technology career really looks like. That's not because anyone is failing them. Tech careers are hard to see from the outside, and most people only find them by chance. I kept wondering how many students might have chosen their paths sooner if someone opened the door.

Today, Blueprint Co. builds technology infrastructure for businesses. Workplace Studio is how we partner with schools and districts to bring that world to students. You'll see the work, try it, and imagine what comes next. You'll leave with new skills, new ideas, and a bigger picture of what's possible for you.
